The trial spans two years and roses are closely scrutinised until the crème de la crème is selected – only the very best are worthy of the prestigious Rose of the Year title.

‘Lucky!’ is a stunning Floribunda rose with an olde worlde charm and lovely lilac pink petals that are darkest in bud then fade gently. This fragrant and prolific flowerer is vigorous and disease-resistant – well worthy of joining the ranks of award winning roses.

‘Lucky!’ bred by Gareth Fryer is ideal for planting in mixed borders and is remarkably easy to grow. Other award winning roses from Fryer’s include ‘Super Trouper’ crowned Novelty Rose 2010, and Certificates of Merit have been awarded to ‘Lucky!’ (Belfast rose trials), ‘Tickled Pink’ (Glasgow rose trials). ‘Golden Smiles’ won a Silver Medal in Glasgow.
